Season 2013-14 gets underway this Sunday with the Mandurah 70.3 event which is also the Australian Pro championships. We have eight individuals and two athletes competing in teams. It should be a fast course but the weather conditions may conspire against those looking for personal best times. Forecast for Sunday has gone from 34 to 36 and today there is talk of it being a 39 degree day. Not ideal. All our athletes are well aware of the implications of this heat in terms of sun protection and hydration. There are Kona spots up for grabs but getting to the finish line in one piece will be our first priority. Read Mandurah_70.3_Athlete Guide for more about our athletes and their goals..
